Building Community Through Marketing

As President of the American Marketing Association at Chapman University, my focus has been on reshaping how the club connects with students, faculty, and surrounding campuses. Through new advertising strategies and consistent outreach, we have been able to grow engagement both on campus and across other universities. From planning joint events to sharing creative campaigns, our goal has been to make AMA a place where marketing students can learn, collaborate, and find real opportunities to develop their skills.

Most of our promotions happen through flyers, social media posts, email newsletters, and word of mouth around campus. By introducing a more structured approach to these channels, we have seen a steady rise in meeting attendance and an increase in professional opportunities, including guest speakers and workshops. The energy at our events reflects what marketing is all about: communication, creativity, and collaboration. We encourage members to participate in friendly competitions and creative challenges that help them practice their craft and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
